Dariana was our waitress and she did an amazing job, she was kind and helpful, she went over the menu and gave us some great recommendations! Drinks came out with excellent timing and the food was absolutely delicious 10/10 experience! Can’t stress it enough Be sure to request Dariana
The food is very fresh! You can taste the freshness. I had excellent service and management checked in on me as well. I am gluten and dairy free so they made accommodations for me. I had an appetizer, main course and dessert. And the Green Tea was in a very aesthetic container and it was good green tea. I highly recommend. I like the ambiance.
My wife and I dined at Gekko Miami last night for a special evening out. We arrived on time for our reservation, but the female host outside was curt, dismissive, and kept us waiting 15 minutes with a poor attitude—unacceptable for this caliber of restaurant and it upset my wife right from the start. Thankfully, once seated, our server Jorge P. was outstanding: attentive, enthusiastic, and full of perfect recommendations. He guided us through an incredible three-course meal—steak tacos and Japanese milk bread to start (addictive!), Chilean sea bass with kale and perfectly cooked steak for mains, and a heavenly lava cake for dessert. Jorge saved the night. The food, ambiance, and service inside were luxurious, but the front-of-house needs better training to match. Fix the host experience, and this place would be flawless. Highly recommend with that one caveat.
We were seated quickly. The waitstaff was great. Very nice and quick service with the food and drinks. Our server Thayz was very helpful with suggestions for drinks and food. Would recommend this restaurant. But they need add some Benito to their playlist.
Sadie and her assistant gave us AMAZING service. They were extremely attentive and made the Gekko experience very special! The food was delicious, the steak and the rice came out a little cold but the flavor was definitely delicious. We can’t wait to go back.
When it comes to celebrity-owned restaurants, there’s usually a lot of hype, but the food and service don’t always live up to it. Gekko was different. It exceeded my every expectation. Our server, Vanessa, was outstanding. Attentive, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, she along with the entire restaurant staff, provided a unforgettable dining experience. We started with the Hamachi, A5 Wagyu Maki Rolls, Lobster Dumplings, and Lobster Fried Rice. Each dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented (many with gold flakes!). The standout of the night was the A5 Hot Stone. It was buttery, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth perfection. This is what real Wagyu tastes like. I’d return for that alone. Dessert was just as impressive. We shared the Miso Dulcey Lava Cake, the Sticky Okinawa Date Cake, and a Sorbet trio. I’m still thinking about this experience. The only thing that could have made it even more memorable is if we’d met Bad Bunny, one of the restaurant’s owners, while we were there.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. Since a lot of influencers have claimed Gekko, I erroneously assumed it was probably more show than quality, but I was wrong. We ordered several rounds of appetizers, but our favorites were the sashimi and the wagyu tacos. We had the wagyu skirt steak and the fish for entree, and the quality of both was superb. The desserts were good as well, but they truly made an impression with their appetizers and main dishes. Lastly, we enjoyed one of the sommelier's recommendations (for wine), and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but it's very busy, so we felt a little rushed. We recommend reserving in advance.
Gekko did not miss. The cucumber salad was fresh and light, the wagyu tacos were amazing, and the Japanese milk bread was dangerously good. Lobster dumplings were a hit, the sea bass was perfectly cooked, and the ribeye was juicy and flavorful. Great food and a great vibe.
